We have trained personnel on-site and are able to provide on-the-spot customer care to your staff, exhibitors and attendees during move-in, show hours and move-out.

WSCC has the capacity to accommodate a virtually unlimited number of single or multi-line phones, data connections, Internet access and ISDN lines, along with a host of ancillary services such as PC rentals, video conferencing, etc. Smart City provides all of the above telecommunication and connectivity products and services so there is no need to contact the local phone or Internet companies to arrange service.


Smart City offers wireless Internet access at Washington State Convention Center through several Wi-Fi Access Centers located throughout the facility. With a wireless enabled device (laptop computer, PDA, etc.), anyone can log on to the network by simply activating their browser. (No configuration of the device is required!) For a daily charge, you can also connect to the Internet to browse the web, check your e-mail, etc.


Phone services are provisioned via a Definity GS3 Switch located on premises and managed and maintained by Smart City; assuring smooth installation of services, customized features, and timely response in meeting all of our client’s needs.

Phone services include, single and multi-line phones, speakerphones, teleconferencing units, display and non-display phones, voice mail, fax lines and credit card lines.

Pre-assigned phone numbers are available to event management on request to allow for advance printing of your event marketing materials.

Public Payphones are located throughout the facility - on all levels - for the convenience of your guests. Payphone banks may include wheelchair accessible phones. There are 2 phones equipped with TDD (Telecommunications Devices for the Deaf). The first is located on Level 1 in the Galleria near the Convention Place entrance; the second is located on Galleria 4 near the entrance to Exhibit Hall 4C.


Washington State Convention Center is fully wired to easily provision connectivity to event management, exhibitors and attendees throughout the facility. Smart City offers scalable bandwidth from 56k to shared DS3, burstable to 45Mbps as our standard pipe into the facility. We can also provision additional bandwidth at the client’s request with appropriate lead time. Our bandwidth is delivered via our single and multimode fiber backbone, with CAT5E 10/100 to the exhibit halls, meeting rooms and public spaces. Connectivity is available throughout the facility.


Smart City provides all telecommunication, data and Internet services at Washington State Convention Center. Standard offerings include:

  • Standard 10/100mbps data delivery via CAT5e throughout exhibit, meeting and public spaces.
  • Networking Services (VLAN’s, DHCP or Static IP addressing)
  • Cabling Services
  • Phone Lines: single line analog, credit card, fax, multiple line digital phones, and speakerphones.
  • ISDN Services
  • Equipment Rental: hubs, routers, switches, PCs, faxes, printers, flat screens, etc.
  • Wireless LAN – currently available in specific “WIFI Access Centers” throughout WSCC.
  • Video Conferencing Services and Equipment

Pay phones are conveniently located for use by WSCC clients and guests, and are located on all levels of the Galleria and in the Exhibit Halls.

Two of the pay phones are equipped with Telecommunications Devices for the Deaf (TDD). The first is located on Level 1 Galleria near the Convention Place entrance. The second is located on Galleria 4 near the entrance to Exhibit Hall 4C. Both devices are fully accessible.
